Spoke to a member from Tipp who attended a meeting of more than 100 FG members recently to discuss the election.
Meeting was attended by the defeated FG candidates from Tipp.
The result in Tipp was an unmitigated disaster for FG.
Have been reliably informed that at no stage during the meeting was Enda Kenny renounced or criticised in any way.
Everyone watching their back and waiting to see what happens, how craven and pathetic is that?

Now is not the time for a street brawl. Government formation process is very delicate and Enda is on the way out anyway.

Is there any other type of FG party member anywhere else? If there were Kenny might be gone by now.

Most party's are full of nodding dogs hoping for an extra piece of the pie. Groupthink is almost a necessity.

How craven and pathetic is that? Well they must be brain dead zombies for re-electing the family home tax rapist, Mike "Hep C" Noonan and the rest of the fetid rotten FG'ers !

Tipp was a disaster for FG yes but it is still quite a conservative county. They elected two DNA politicians FF/FG, plus a FF and a Lab (barley) and Healy had a hard time.

While it was a disaster for FG it is certainly a spot that they can work on and potentially target in coming elections. Does not seem like there is much hope there for SF and others though. Hence the reason the tipperary electorate got so much hate from some especially those on the left.

Tipperary is like a post apocalyptic version of Ireland. Mostly lawless with a few regional warlords like Lowry and Kelly. And Mad Mattie.

Perhaps they didn't attack Kenny because they realised that there was at least one FG seat in Tipp but they screwed themselves out of it due to bad vote management strategy between Coonan and Hayes.

Everyone knows that Kenny cost FG seats in many marginals where they lost by a few hundred votes.
Mabye they all keep silent because Kenny still has the power to nominate senators:roll:.

Tipperary elected lowry, alan kelly and mattie mcgrath, so the zombie gombeenism runs much deeper than the local fg chapter.

FG got nearly a quota in Tipperary, surely even that imbecile can't prevent FG getting back one of their lost seats in Tipp if there is another snap election, a rise in support to 18-19% in a 5 seat constituency and Hayes will surely get his old seat back. Hopefully, Tipp has seen the last of Noel Isis Coonan.

Say what you like about north tipp but south tipp is a beautiful spot and quite a prosperous area as well. But tipp is not for the faint hearted i saw a while back many rural farmers in tipp have started armed patrols, no time for city folk:)
