Wonder will Vinnie tackle the Cork blueshirt about his proposal to charge the OAPs for the bus pass?

So no Pat Kenny show this week either?

As for this show, it might be time to check out Netflix or the DVR.

The #vinb show is quickly becoming the SSDN show.

School teacher, county councillor, td, with multiple pensions to look forward to, funded by those eking out an existance on the state pension that he wants to take a further cut.
That could be a description for so many of the TDs couldn't it. I agree with the 6€ charge on travel pass holders if TDs agree to the same ratio of cut in their pay. Fair is fair. Lead by example.

Might be better to limit all school teacher TDs to one term and one pension.

Funny, doesn't even seem to be one tweet in his account about his suggestion??

See he also lists himself as:
Chair of Children's committee on resettling children from Calais. [At €250,000.00 a skull????]

A charge of €6 p/a = 11 cent p/w from a pension of €233 p/w. That's a reduction of about 0.0472%

Assuming a TD's salary is €85,000 p/a then the reduction would be about €42 per year. I reckon they'd be OK with that!

Fair point :) I was associating the 6€ charge with the gain from free travel of the holder which I expect is very low. I'd say most with a travel pass hardly ever use it. More the point is once a charge is levied it normally only ever increases.

Always so one sided with two politicians invested in the government and from the same ideological perspective and no challenge from other political perspectives. Boring

That was probably the cunning point all right. Once it was established, there's only one direction it would go. What would they call it, though, when they could no longer call it the free travel pass? I've used mine to go to the All-Ireland final twice, and that's it.

"Growing inequality." Something Fianna Fail and Fine Gael would understand and approve of.
