#TONIGHT with Vincent Browne (#vinb) at 10.30pm,
Weekly Monday 12th to Thursday 15th September 2016

A current affairs programme from an alternative perspective, focusing on issues of income and inequality,
as well as seeking to hold institutions and powerful people to account.

Week 2 … Round 2 … ding, ding … seconds out.

Monday 12th ... with Mick Clifford
Well nothing from tv3 about tonight’s show. You know what that probably means … [Vinny's pet subject ].
Anyway, as it’s half an hour before the show I’ll put a thread up anyway.

In other news, I’m delighted to hear that Enda has got his mojo back.
Enda Kenny: 'I've got my mojo back' - Independent.ie

It’s not an expression I’m very familiar with, so had to google it:
Mojo: The word originally means a charm or a spell.
OMG Did our Taoiseach lose his lucky leprechaun charm?
Hold on, it could also mean … but now it‘s more commonly said meaning sex appeal.
Sex appeal??? Is Enda having a laugh?

He`s a bit silly going up against Claire Byrne on Monday nights. I reckon most will be watching Vincent on the +1 channel.

Will vinnie be having a balanced debate on refugees, maybe discuss how we can house thousands of refugees in the middle of a national crisis in housing? I won't hold my breath considering the last debate on immigration had 4 pro immigration and one immigration control.

More than likely it will be vinnie and a few Liberal journalists and quango chiefs denouncing the Government for not taking hundreds of thousands of refugees. If this show was anyway credible somebody would surely be allowed ask how do they square the circle of the housing crisis and the refugees!

They disposed of Halligan fairly quick. Shane Ross next, says VB, but he's only joking.

True enough. Mass protest was what made the parties jittery.

Water and family home taxes did nothing to redistribute wealth in the correct manner, it look more from those who could least afford it.

The fact that, unlike the comparator countries, there is no ability to pay provision in the family home tax legislation means that the state will in years to come attempt to confiscate the homes of those who opted for the high interest deferral option.
