Toothless Policing Authority Quango gives platform to continued Garda Siochana anti-whistleblower propaganda

There was a public meeting of the Policing Authority in Dublin today

Fine Gael quango the "Policing Authority" began the meeting by pointing out that it would not put any questions to the senior Garda management present, about the Garda smear campaign against whistleblowers. (Due to the forthcoming Charleton Tribunal) despite it being one of the most important crisis's in a Democratic country today. At the very least the Policing Authority should have highlighted the ongoing Garda smear campaign against whistleblowers and demanded answers as to when it would stop.

Disgustingly but not unexpectedly a platform was given to the senior Garda to continue to imply a smear against Garda McCabe and the other whistleblowers when the Garda management spoke about the whistleblowers stating that "there was two sides to every story" etc. Implying there was substance to the allegations against the whistleblowers.

The Chair of the Policing Authority showed her political bias in letting them imply this publicly today and continuing the smear campaign. She should have silenced them forthwith. Once again the Policing Authority has been exposed as a useless biased quango and should be disbanded immediately.

Perfectly correct procedure

- the Charleton Report must first ascertain what substance (if any) there are to these claims of a smear campaign

- that is going to take months

IMO their findings will prove inconclusive

- and will be yet another waste of taxpayers money!:|

It is pretty shameless.
Couldn't care less.
And along with the snide story half told remark.
It looks like they expect nothing to happen of worth.
Business as usual then!

And we had Cunstable Reynolds of RTÉ on hand to enforce the point that all is well. The old faces doing the same old thing. Isn't it a great wee country.

Policing Authority opening statement http://policingauthority.ie/Website/PA/PolicingAuthorityWeb.nsf/page/IAHD-AJULF415422923-en/$File/Opening%2023-2.pdf
Commissioner, rather than making an opening statement, can I ask you how you will assure the Authority and by extension the community that Garda performance is not suffering because of the impacts of public controversy and of engaging and appearing before a Tribunal of Inquiry?
what about the reassurance you are not corrupt as F all

An ex-Revenue civil servant political appointee rewarded by the family home tax rapist Mike "hep C" Noonan" for inflicting the homeowners tax, the LPT tax. An unfair, unequal and anti city home owner tax that Noonan and his FG gangsters dreamt up to pay off his bankster and austerity junkie buddies. She was a perfect fit for the job then.

Disgustingly O'Sullivan was not asked about the report raised during the O'Higgin's inquiry made by two senior Gardai about their interview with McCabe that was proved to be lies and would have been abused against McCabe until he made it known he had a recording of that interview and it was dropped like a hot $not, that alone should have cost her, her job. Once again a toothless Policing Authority in non-action.

she did great job as head of Revenue, one to be feared
She just complied with the status quo and demonstrated her excellent ability to inflict unfair and unequal treatment of tax payers on behalf of government policy. I am sure she would say as previous employees of another government before her did, "we were just obeying orders"....
