The majority of Unions collaborated with the Jobsbridge intern scheme. What bit of credibility Irish Unions had has evaporated.

Forget the Jobsbridge shame, UCC has academic staff on zero hours contracts.

Presumably I'll still be able to pass the Tesco picket at Wilton SC on Thursday without these well-intentioned but clueless idiots obstructing my free passage?

Free country, even for scabs and those of questionable morals who pass pickets! Pass unharmed and with a smile of satisfaction on your visage as you keep the low paid service workers in their place and support a multi national company which makes billions in profit from the labour of low paid workers! You brave little soldier you:roll:

Yep. I'm helping to keep them in a job.

Whereas you, proudly squatting on your small dungheap but oblivious to the heavy smell of fresh turd all around you, are doing your best to see them lose it!

You should go down the road to Douglas; classier than Wilton AND a TK Max !

I prefer to shop in M&S in the Douglas SC when I'm in silver spoon mood. Tesco is for the basics:- yellow pack caviar, own label smoked salmon and prawns, middle of the road champagne and pretty bland fillet steak. Weekday food.

Thanks, much appreciated and, if I may say so, a well deserved nomination.

But me being a modest sort of chap. when (if) I win, I'll probably emulate Bob Dylan at the Nobel Awards ceremony and not turn up.
But I'll ask Brendan Ogle to represent me if that's OK? For me, Brendan is the true friend of Irish Capitalism and the open economy.

It will be a close run competition between yourself and that other paragon of social justice Mr Christian Carter but I reckon you might just scrape it!

Oh good. You're a Zionist as well as a scab. Can we be friends, please?

Is your p.ie name meant to attest to the way "the plebs" are supposed to emulate by the "people who matter"? . . . . . Kept in the dark and fed &h!t.

On behalf of those are willing to challenge vested interests so as to live and not merely survive, i'm terribly sorry. I'll go and have another drink, buy some crap, watch pure rubbish on tv. I really should know better, isn't that it. Apologies for wanting a better world.

Personally I like unions. I don't think they are too necessary at certain levels but when it comes to the working poor, I do not know of a better protection.
