Scoop: Trump is pulling U.S. out of Paris climate deal

President Trump has made his decision to withdraw from the Paris climate accord, according to two sources with direct knowledge of the decision. Details on how the withdrawal will be executed are being worked out by a small team including EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt. They're deciding on whether to initiate a full, formal withdrawal — which could take 3 years — or exit the underlying United Nations climate change treaty, which would be faster but more extreme.

Really, is the Paris Climate Accord of any real value in the end of the day? OR is this a big deal ..

Which side do PIE Peeps fall down on this? For / against Paris Accord?

Will trump pull out of all other climate related agreements?

Apparently Nicaragua & Syria are the only 2 countries not in Paris Accord. Trump in company with Ortega & Assad ..

Elon Musk says that he will stop advising President Trump if US leaves Paris climate accord

President Donald Trump has been talking about pulling the U.S. out of the Paris climate change agreement since the election, but he had yet to formally confirm or initiate the move.Today, rumors came out that he made the decision of pulling out and that it is now only about how they plan to do so.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who is on the President’s Strategic and Policy Forum and manufacturing council, has been advising the President to stay committed to the Paris agreement and he now threatens to quit the councils if the rumors are true.

It may have one good outcome - it may trigger a proper public debate on climate change and related issues. The debate at this stage is firstly focussing too much on climate change in isolation, and even within that limited discussion there is little actual debate, with little or no real engagement between the two sides. Climate change and its implications cannot be viewed in isolation from issues such as social inequality, wealth distribution and migration.

There will be a massive reaction to this if Trump decides to pull out, in Europe, the US and around the world. Its not the same as Bush pulling out of Kyoto. The science has moved on, we have had three years in a row of record breaking temperatures, only the mentally ill and corrupt deny climate change now.

The real sign of the Apocalypse might be a Labour/SNP coalition in the UK general election.

Paris climate agreement: Better off without Trump? - Business Insider

But the key question now: If Trump really does withdraw the United States from the agreement, will that reduce the global effectiveness of the agreement's symbols? My suspicion is it would not.

Obviously, taking the US out of the accord reduces our ability to lead on reducing carbon emissions — but the US wasn't likely to provide much leadership on that under Trump, in or out of the accord.

Trump's choice to exit might increase political pressure within other countries to act on climate change. This effect would be similar to the surprising way Trump seems to be strengthening the European Union and depressing support for Euroskeptic parties in Europe.

Bill Clinton on aliens...
Would contact with a race of aliens be enough to fully unite humanity? Would it cause all of us to drop our bitter quarrels and come together as one? That is apparently what former president Bill Clinton believes. On Jimmy Kimmel Live the other night, Clinton said that an alien invasion “may be the only way to unite this increasingly divided world of ours”. He also said that “if we were visited someday, I wouldn’t be surprised”.
Turns out we didn't need an alien just a moron

Coal stocks fall; U.S. exit from climate deal may hurt, not help | Reuters

U.S. coal company shares dipped alongside renewable energy stocks on Wednesday after reports that President Donald Trump plans to pull the United States from a global accord on fighting climate change.

The market reaction reflects concerns, raised by some coal companies in recent months, that a U.S. exit from the Paris Climate Agreement could unleash a global backlash against coal interests outside the United States.

Nobody denies Climate Change It's man's influence on Climate Change that is at issue. There were no SUVs back in the Ice Age. Would love to see the hysteria provoked in Eamon Ryan types if there was a second

You sound like a lunatic to be honest.

Science for such subjective issues does not operate over 3 years. 3 Thousand, 3 Million but not 3.
