Rex Tillerson has given a speech in which he warns that America is going downhill if it fails to address basic issues of 'integrity and ethics'. Tillerson was sacked as Secretary of State by Trump in March.

“If our leaders seek to conceal the truth, or we as people become accepting of alternative realities that are no longer grounded in facts, then we as American citizens are on a pathway to relinquishing our freedom,” Tillerson said.

He is completely correct but the USA has been in decline for a while now anyway. It would take a great change in their moribund political system, and a positive one, not a Trumpian one, to arrest that decline. Right now both parties are the biggest part of the problem, both are working against the majority of the population as both have caught onto the movements fragmenting society there and it doesn't look like either party is learning the lessons fast enough in the Dems case or at all in the GPO's case.
They need a new third party that eschews identity politics, the need a party that looks after the middle class and the working class as a prime priority and relegates the rich as they can more than look after themselves and are eating the US alive.

I've watched a number of his speeches on integrity in the past. He certainly impresses, but I'm never sure whether its genuine or eflection

I'm no Clinton fan, but I fail to see the difference between her and Trump when it comes to A)banking connections, B)war mongering.
Those are the two areas that Trump fans laud.

In fact, since the release of Clinton Cash, the level of scandal involved in the Clinton Foundation has gotten even worse.

I watched Clinton Cash when it came out before the election. No doubt plenty of truth in it, but over dramatised and tainted by the involvement of Bannon.

There is little to chose between the Clinton and Trump . American citizens are very badly served by their polarised left-right system in my view.

In other words, Clinton Cash is factual....but you are going to not take it seriously.

Bannon for all his flaws, did produce a documentary that nailed it. Likewise Michael Moore nailed Dubya in Fahrenheith 9-11.

As far as I am concerned, these are serious issues.

Trump is not as corrupt as Clinton. In fact even the Bush family are less corrupt than the Clintons.

Trump made it in NYC, in the 1970s and 1980s - and it is impossible to make it that big in NYC without looking after corrupt politicians, and even the mafia. But, it seems that nobody investigates that - probably because that would expose the entire system as rotten.

Tillerson is correct. In fact he should have said it 50 years ago. But we will have to settle for him saying it now.
