Party interests above national interest. Chaos.

Not certain it will get through parliament.

She says it will be fought on the Brexit issue and that is why they are calling an election now.

The pro Brexit side will come back with a huge majority and allow them sail full ahead into a hard Brexit.

Scotland will be interesting - will the SNP be able to hold every seat they currently have and if they do does that make a 2nd indy ref more real?

May now has to put this to a vote in Parlliament due to the limitations of the Fixed Term Parliament Act:

"There are only two ways to get round the FTPA: First, if more than two thirds of all MPs vote to call an election.Second, if a motion of no confidence is passed in the government, and nobody else forms a new government and wins a vote of confidence within 14 days."

Let's see how this goes.

This is designed to take out the remainers once and for all
yes , it completely removes any 'mandate' they might say they have.

She says every vote for the conservatives gives the UK a stronger hand in Brexit negotiations.

She has called on all parties to now produce their Brexit proposals and let the people decide on this most important issue.

Hopefully this weeds out all the undemocratic remainers. Well done prime minister.
