It's Jim Nicholson, not Jim Wells.

Jim Wells is a bigot.

What is it with unionists and the begging bowl? They go on like tramps with their hands out on their knees while still acting with grandiose delusion.
the blind ironic hypocrisy of that statement is staggering...

Saw this tweeted by Mark Devenport last night.

When Owen Paterson said he was dying to get the NI SOS job, he didn't mean it in a nice way. The Wilson quote, linked above, is something that embitters the home counties set and Osborne was their man to implement the reality check.

Let's not forget that Nicholson did not stand on a UUP ticket alone. No sirree Bob, he stood on a joint Tory ticket. Those people who voted Nicholson should not frown when they lose jobs or grants. They should turn that frown upside down because that is what they voted for.

British policy is set in the best interests of South East England. The economy in the north will never thrive under English rule

The government's position on the EU budget is correct. I am fully supportive of it.

The economy in NI is thriving especially if you factor out the WB brigadistas and their unquenchable thirst for UK taxpayers' cash.

The economy is not thriving. It certainly needs rebalancing and needs to grow. Welfare dependency needs to reduce in all parts of the UK and no more so than in parts of NI.

There are a number of things that need to happen but the problem is management. The first is to end reliance on the civil service. Why is vehicle registration centre needed in Coleraine for example. I would like to see it gone. The options are 1. to let Bristol take over, 2. le Dublin take over. Or 3. Let Coleraine manage all Ireland. I prefer the latter for a number of reasons.

This is the sort of action we need to get the economy here on a more sustainable footing.
