Where is Ireland and the EU? I can understand Ireland as you've got nothing to offer these poor people but the EU's response? Deafening.

So once again it falls upon the UK to take a lead in World Affairs by leading the Aid effort.

Royal Navy arrives in British Virgin Islands devastated by Hurricane Irma

I guess, this shows the difference between a poxy nation and a global leader like Britain.
It's their own territory you idiot.

And Blighty ain't leading at all... the Americans, the French and the Dutch have been much quicker to get help to their overseas territories in the vicinity...

The poor auld Brit dependents have been giving out about the abysmal response from Blighty so far... innit

In fairness, and seeing how the OP is a plonker but they did dispatch this vessel when it became apparent there would be some exceptional weather events, the French response to these catasthropes in comparison has been found wanting.

Mick will stick up a few wind turbines. He thinks that will stop the hurricanes.

Spending nearly the same amount of money if not more on an old clock tower than you're giving out in relief efforts shows priorities.:(

Another fine mess for Theresa May and the Tories. Perhaps May will use the hurricane for an excuse for why her hair always looks so dreadful!:p

You're fast becoming my favourite troll.

A mention of gunboats or Vera Lynn and this could have been the second best OP this year. Sorry but Valamhic's is unbeatable at this stage.

The Irish navy is too busy picking up cheap labour in the med for big business than to help honest folk who's lives have been destroyed by this disaster.
