It was mentioned on them regarding the usual spins in his toxic approaches that create the very issues at hand.

Of course, about that wall....

But not even Trump's proposed wall could stop the wave of migrants overflowing shelters in the Rio Grande Valley, where the vast majority are turning themselves in to apply for asylum, McAllen Mayor Jim Darling said.

A wall would go up on levees about a mile from the winding Rio Grande, which is the U.S.-Mexico border. Migrants will just have to cross the river to be in U.S. territory and seek asylum, he said.

"That's not a solution for asylum-seekers," Darling said.

"Our country is full?" Really?

DHS and the Labor Department plan to grant an additional 30,000 H-2B visas this summer on top of the 33,000 H-2B visas they had planned to give out, the agencies confirmed.

Translation: we need more workers to harvest the crops.
Not much there about the drug dealers and rapists who are going to defile pure American womanhood.

Donald Trump has shot himself in the foot on immigration

It is also a fact that every single Congressional district on the border elected a Democrat to Congress - except for one Texas district, and that Congressman thinks Trump's Wall is stupid. Immigration is not seen by Americans as a massive problem, only by coterie of racists who are quailing over the pronounced demographic shift in the country, that whites will be a minority by about 2040. The aged-under-20 cohort is already minority white.

I suppose that will build the wall twice as fast?

This just shows that the "Wall" is a non-solution to a non-problem all along.

This is the usual Trump bungling produces a crisis of his own making, then flails to try to solve it.

Apprehension of illegals crossing is still well below pre-recession levels.

Why border crossings are at an 11-year high, explained in 500 words

This is a problem not beyond the wit of man to solve, just beyond the wit of Trump.

Someone's buying into Trump's toxic gaslighting bullsh!t again. He's about to hit the 10,000 mark on verifiable false or misleading claims during his 2 year nearly 3 month tenure. Is there any particular kind of lie or misleading claim you're after before you conclude he's full of sh!t?

During the Obama Admin, children were briefly in “chain-linked enclosures” during a 2014 surge with their families, and only briefly given the Flores settlement and the decision not to separate children from families long term. Trump's grotesque distortion of those facts were part of a larger set of gaslighting smears for the sake of craven lies regarding his own performance.

Let Shep Smith and John Roberts sort out Trump's large packet of smears, lies and distortions for you.

Of course, Trump's overflowing toilet of verbal waste products today also intentionally served to divert attention from Barr testifying before the House today regarding the Mueller report and Barr's apparent belief Trump's legal attempt to void Obamacare lacks support, is legally merely throwing mud against the wall, and he's reluctantly 'just following orders'.

If Ireland had the Flores Decree, we would not be allowed to keep asylum seeking families together. The 9th Circuit made a grave error with this, as did the Clinton admin,.

Would you prefer that young teens like 15 y/o Jenny Lisette Flores go back to being detained in prisons, routinely strip-searched in custody and housed with male adults as she was subjected when her aunt lived in the States and was willing to take her?

How many asylum seekers in Ireland are denied the appointment of legal counsel for asylum claims if they can't afford it, placed in prisons more crowded and less hospitable than Portlaoise, shackled and stripped-searched, forced to wear prison garb and confined most hours of the day to prison cells as if they were serious violent convicted offenders? How often is this happening at the DP Centres?
Feds don’t know locations of ‘thousands’ more migrant kids, separated from families

The Trump Admin makes it an open secret that they're doing this intentionally to deter asylum claims on the whole.

Neither Congress nor the American people as a whole were overly concerned about immigration. If anything, the electorate would, by a hefty majority, support a bipartisan measure with DACA and upgraded border controls.

In fact, Trump has a Republican majority in the House and Senate for two whole years, during which he twice came to broad bipartisan Agreements - but each time the compromise settlements were torpedoed by Trump's racist base, and its spokespeople Stephen Miller, Ann Coulter and Rush Lumbaugh. Trump is running scared from the people he hopes will re-elect him.

Now he has painted himself into a corner, where he has decided that even more extreme measures have to be taken then the Draconian policy he has used up to now. He has purged the upper echelons of the DHS, but who is he going to appoint to implement his cruel policies - Joe Arpaio? A trigger-happy sadist like David Clark? Stephen Miller himself?

This is a mess of Trump's own creation, but one he cannot claim to solve so easily.

On issue after issue -- trade, health care, immigration, the economy -- Trump is infuriated that the problems are complicated and his simple-minded solutions don't work.

He said only he could fix them, he said they would be easy to solve once he was in charge, he KEEPS THINKING that the problem is that people just won't do what he wants -- so he tries to find new people. It is not working

Los Angeles Times:

During the Obama administration, family separations were rare and predicated upon two conditions: whether border officials felt the parents or guardians posed a threat to the children, or whether the adults, under U.S. immigration law, had to be detained based on prior criminal convictions.
Trump’s attempt to blame Obama for family separations, debunked

Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen quit because she wants to spend more time caging her family.

IMO, Trump thrives in the immigration chaos and keeps it that way for self-service.

First, he, like other Robber Baron labour exploiters, he benefits greatly from exploiting the large undocumented population in his businesses. He's even under criminal probes in NY and NJ regarding for large recent 'busts' at his country clubs, and he's been successfully sued and criminally fined for past hiring abuses regarding them going back to the 1980s.

Second, it's a gold mine topic for his kind of carnival barking demagogy that's made him POTUS for his own exploitation and the Pied Piper of suckers and scumbags by turning the original and obsolete Party of Lincoln into the Trump Party with a cult base and servile apparatus.

Why would he want to properly resolve the immigration topic that benefits him so greatly?

That's basically how the modern United States came about. Ask the Native Americans.
Ask the Mexicans too starting with Americans settling in what's now Texas. Mexico has lost over half its territory to 'invading Americans'.
