For the first time since 2007, it looks like FF is gaining the upper hand over FG.

Leo must be very relieved the summer recess is coming. But the situation looks worrying for the autumn.

Its' hard to remember a single policy accomplishment outside of cultural issues. He might point to falling unemployment but that began years before he took office.

Letting FF come back is something the blue shirts should be wiped out for

You realise that we live in a democracy? If people decide to vote for FF, its their choice. The majority of people are nowhere near as brilliant as P.ie posters.

FG were presented a golden opportunity to wipe out FF. they blew it through ineptitude, low morals and overconfidence.

When will Irelands people realise there is no difference beteen FF or FG. They both are worthless, 100 years of these idiots and we still think things will change.
There is a question to be asked of the gullibility of the Irish electorate.
A Nation receives the Govt it deserves ,Ireland deserves a Govt of corrupt criminals.

Hard to do much when you need permission from FF who certainly don't want you to succeed.
In fairness the country is doing very well in many respects despite the usual cockups and if we are going to blame people when things go wrong then we have to give credit too.

No , the blew it through been a less clever version of Fianna Fail . The vast majority of the population know those two are identical and will eventfully merge when on the verge of extinction

Yes, and the idiots still fight over who is 'better' - They, Labour, Sinn Féin, PBF and the rest of the socialist marxist lot should be voted out of existence and people and parties with the interests of Irish Nationalism, Irish culture, Christianity and truth and free speech put in their place.

All the above useful idiots are cultural marxist enablers and anti-Irish and their aim is to drag Ireland into a globalist socialist communist future - all at the behest of global capitalism - is that what the sleeping Irish want?

FF has been "blessed" with incompetent and completely clueless FG leaders. Whether it was that Mayo gombeen Kenny asking a woman in Galway if she was from around there or the Dublin media's darling Varadkar pissing off a large contingent of FG voters with an obviously bigoted slur, there seems to be consistency to FG's cluelessness.

I'd lay the blame for that at Labours door.
That head of a bankers association Brian Hayes once scribbled a piece in the Dindo (2011 or 2012 or so) saying how FG needed FF. FG appeared to be scared sh!tless of SF becoming a major player. It knew that Labour was just a bunch of pension chasing gombeens who could be easily bought off. The Labour vote in 2011 was never really a Labour vote but rather a floating vote that had voted for FF until the house of cards collapsed in 2008.
