No info at all from tv3  - too busy to tweet, they must be planning the live audience ??

Sorry folks, but I haven’t the foggiest idea who’s on tonight as, despite my best efforts contacting them, I haven’t been given any info from tv3 on tonight’s #VINB - and it‘s unlikely I‘ll get them at this late stage. I’ll have to fill in the details on the grid as we go along and I hear the broadcast. So it’s just one big surprise to me as well as you! Must be a dolly mixtures type of show planned for tonight - all the news of the day.

Oireachtas Enquiries: will Brendan Howlin's Plan work?

Last year a referendum to give the Oireachtas extensive powers to investigate was rejected.

Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform Brendan Howlin said that this new legislation will allow for the setting up of inquiries that can make findings of uncontested facts.

The minister said powers to compel witnesses will also be simplified and confidential information given by the public will be protected.
By the way: I've exercised editorial control and deliberately spelt enquiries with an 'e'.

What's the latest on the Quinns? Vincent has the details, no doubt with help from Lydia Murphy.

another sterling case of ignoring the will of the people as decided in a referendum

It would probably be a better show if there was nobody on except VB talking to himself :)

Its sad FF cannot come up with replacements for Conor Lenihan and Martin Mansergh. All the other parties have their wafflers. Wonder would I get the gig.

John McGuinness is too intelligent for this comedy show

Vincent is right. Government should have representatives on the programme. Clearly, they are not confident enough in their own ability to assert their positions and debate the issues of the day.

Sign of political weakness.
