Tonight, Vinny plays the extraordinary phone conversation between Michael Lowry

and
Kevin Phelan.

Michael Lowry responded in February to an article that centred on a 2004 phone call between him and the Northern Ireland-based land agent Kevin Phelan while the Moriarty Tribunal was ongoing.

The article was published in the Sunday Independent, written by Elaine Byrne and Gene Kerrigan, and
centred on a 12 minutes 42 seconds phone call between the former Fine Gael Minister and Phelan, during which they discussed a sterling sum of £200,000 – £250,000 which the Sunday Independent says Lowry said he paid to Phelan, but said during the call: “I never declared it”.

Tonight the tape is played on the #VINB show…

I wonder did TV3 extend an invitation to Deputy Lowry?

All those that hated Vinny, and then loved him after the Ming, will be back hating him tonight.
There is still a sneaking regard for the "profoundly corrupt" dealings of Lowry.

The big question is,Has the Sunday Independent more information that could damage the
government if released whenever a suitable time may arise.

If that is still the case in Ireland today, then we deserve everything we are getting and will continue to get as long as we keep electing known "profoundly corrupt" politicians.

I have news for you People of Ireland. Politicians Do Not Have To Be Corrupt To be "so nice".

To be fair (hah!) RTE has been busy with what Vinny himself described as "Tridentine" television. :)
