Pat Buckley, European Life Network Pat Buckley - European Life Network: A large group of Fine Gael deputies will oppose abortion legislation in Ireland
Mary Lou McDonald, SF TD Dublin Central Mary Lou McDonald - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Fionnan Sheahan, Political correspondent Irish Independent Irish Independent Columnists | Read The Indo Newspaper Writers' Columns - Independent.ie

The saga continues following with Praveen Halappanavar, husband of Savita, saying he is not happy with the set-up of the Independent Inquiry.

Meanwhile, Sinn Féin have also introduced a Private Member’s Bill calling for immediate legislation to implement the Supreme Court judgement in the ‘x‘ case. Mary Lou McDonald said the system has fudged and prevaricated for 20 years and that pregnant women continue to be left vulnerable with doctors left to operate in grey areas.

To discuss both these related topics Vinny has lined up a reasonable panel for tonight’s show [minus any Government representative: quelle surprise]. A worthwhile show should be on for tonight …

Oh God...

The extremes on both sides of this are gonna drag us down with their hysterics, bullsh!t and lies...

And the 'establishment' and the media are going to let it drag on and on and on...

*sigh*

Definitely won't be watching this one. I'm sick to the back teeth of this issue clogging up the TV, radio, papers and this place for the past week.

Stick it, Vincent.

Might be interesting to see Vinnie explore this FG anti abortion group.

The Pat Buckley link has a picture of James Reilly. Either the picture was taken many years ago or the stress of high office has taken a terrible toll.

I was always happy at my work, well most days! But should an abortionist be comfortable in saying that they are happy at their work? And if not, are they on a crusade of some sort or other?

Regards...screaming foetus

Pat Buckley is alongside Reilly. Scroll down a bit and you'll see his CV. Hope it's the right Pat Buckley ...

Sorry, misread your post ... Don't be putting me under pressure.

I know. I was just pointing out how much Reilly has aged. Yes, I'm pretty sure it's the right Buckley.

It was no accident that this story has been relentlessly pushed by our lefty media, Seantor Mullen got a lovely dig in last night on the frontline at the end of the show, more or less telling Kenny he ran a crappy lefty Labour show just like the debacle that got Higgins into the Aras.

Where is Gimpmore ? as usual, sneaking in and out dropping a few scripted lines while the family trousers 300k a year off the backs of their comrade taxpayers. The most nauseating thing about this whole story has been the false portrayal of compassion by a bunch of people who wish to obliterate human life before birth.

AFAIK SF have not introduced a PMB. They have introduced a motion.
