What's Your Favourite Iconic Irish Brand?

There is an excellent article on the topic by Conor Pope in The IT with a chance to vote for your favourite, I also love that he has drilled down into some of the iconic Irish Brands by giving us details of their origins I didn't even know sudocream was Irish!
One of the all time great ones - Guinness is actually one of the most stomach churningly disgusting drinks I have ever tasted!
And I see Ryanair gets an honourable mention!

TBH while nothing gives me greater pleasure than to see Irish people and businesses doing great and beating everyone else, nothing on the list provided absolutely stands out, I am an Internationalist and I love the international specials in LIDL and ALdi.
Indeed there seems to have been an unflagged Irish Week in my local LIDL recently with artisan food and it was obviously Irish as those products were at least charged at a premuim rate!

When you were living abroad what did you long for?

Me, as I'm from Galway, being close to the sea and watching hurling and rugby!
Hardly Iconic brands more cultural identifiers!
But I had access to The Beeb and when the local M and S closed there, part of me got very sad!

BTW I suppose traditionally for half the country the iconic Irish brand was

- Fianna Fail - The Republican Party

A group of nauseating tossers who really suited the redkneck mentality!
