Where are Fianna Fail's missing Dollars? Today's Mail on Sunday's front page story by John Breslin in Washington shows that money raised by FF in America in the early 90s and registered with the US Dept. of Justice is $250K greater than the amount registered in Dublin. Also $82K was sent directly to FF in Dublin from America and never showed up in Party accounts.

Where is it?

There are no other threads on this topic. It's brand spanking new information that appeared this morning. It is startling in the extreme. And it backs the 'fantasist' Gilmartin up on another wild allegation of his..

It's quite telling that Fianna Fail supporters are dodging the difficult questions these days. It's getting harder to defend the indefencable. The guy from Friends of Fianna Fail didn't sound too happy from that article.

This story is essentially and add-on to the Albert in the Bahamas story, which is already being discussed.

The US State Department are very good at keeping records of what leaves the States as regards political donations. Despite what people believe SF get in "anonymous" US donations, the fact is, any donation over 50 dollars must be registered with the State Department, and is open to public scrutiny.

Now, FF's books aren't, but could the Tribunal seek FF bank records ? There might be a lot of embarassment at FF HQ if it was shown that money shown as having left the States for FF, didn't ever make it to a FF bank account.

No it isn't. It's a specific story about money going missing, not Albert or the Bahamas. Its about discrepancies in the records in America and Dublin.

Stop pretending it isn't..

Funny to see Declan Ganley and AIB on the list of donors. Not peculiar though to be honest.

Developers (including developers operating in the US with interests in Ireland) aren't too concerned whether their contributions go to FF or to individuals in FF, either way they have paid for future favours and will be rewarded.

If FF backers cared about missing funds, they would have stopped contributing after revelations about Bertie signing blank cheques for Haughey.

The Fianna Fail party have are about as ethical with their own funds as they are with taxpayer funds. The morons that continue to elect people like this should be ashamed of themselves.

I'm not pretending anything. You should have been more specific in your original post, regarding the exact details of the story to which you are referring, and you also should have provided a link. That way any confussion would have been easily cleared up.

In your first post you wrote:

And in your last post you wrote:

The fundraising galas by 'The Friends of Fianna Fail' occurred in New York and Boston between 1993 and 1996. The direct donations that are missing were in 97 and 98. The money raised elsewhere in America hasn't been examined.

Albert's stop off in Freeport was March 94
So you consider 1997 & 1998 to be the "early 90's"?

That is why I thought you were refering to money missing from circa 1993/1994 (the actual early 90's), and hence why I assumed you were talking about an add-on to the Bahamas scenario.

In other words you just made a fool out of yourself. There was nothing confusing or misleading in the first post - its patently obvious that it is new information. You assaulted me on another thread for referencing newspaper articles because they happen sometimes to be on sites and publications that you dont like. Now you are over here saying that there should be a link!

toxicavenger - would you mind typing the article in if its not too long? I dont seem to be able to get the Irish Mail on Sunday online.
