Why Dutch Health Insurance system?

Dutch Health costs rocket. Why do FG want their system?

As we know, FG claim to be very attached to the Dutch system of managed competition. But do they actually know what they are talking about?

The Dutch system seems to be failing to keep costs under control
Cost-containment measures announced by the government which will also impact the AWBZ will however not be sufficient to cover the 3.4-billion-euro deficit of the healthcare system in the Netherlands. Healthcare premiums are as a result set to sharply rise in 2011. Dutch health insurance company DSW was once again the first to announce its yearly healthcare fee, which will rise 10.5% year-on-year to reach 1,194 euro in 2011. The DSW justified the sharp increase by saying that the government had again underestimated healthcare spending for 2010. Opponents of the new health insurance system introduced in 2006 had foreseen a sharp rise saying that healthcare premiums were set at a too low level at the time of implementation.
So why, at a time when we need to squeeze value out of every penny, is anyone advocating this system?
