With current Brexit negotiations apparently going just absolutely swimmingly, and a no deal, car crash Brexit looking ever more likely, will we see Scotland hold an independence referendum?

Conservative leader of the notorious ERG, Mr. Jacob Rees-Mogg say not for 20 years...

Jacob Rees-Mogg: 'No indyref2 for a generation' - BBC News

Recent polling says that there would be more support for independence...

Poll suggests support for independence is higher than 2014 but little backing for an autumn Indy Ref 2 - Sunday Post

....but the Scots themselves are reluctant to go again so soon.

There's also the small matter of Scotland's deficit....

SNP urged to ditch plans for indyref2 as figures reveal Scotlands

Should the Scots try for independence in the face of Brexit, and seek to negotiate for themselves to remain within the EU?

You would expect him to oppose Scottish "independence" like George Galloway does.
Look, it was settled UK Labour Party policy and nothing at all to do with George Galloway to oppose Scottish independence. Are you still making up your own version of politics and history?

What is significant is that Corbyn appears a good deal less opposed than his predecessors.

I would expect you to be permanently banned from posting on this website, considering the threat of violence against other members.

That's what I would expect!

You’ve made your point, some time ago.

Post on topic please.

At this points the scots have a good case for self rule, whether brexit happens or not.

I'd have to agree with you.

But 53% still oppose it. The SNP got a bloody nose in the last Westminster GE for pushing too hard on this. Also the military are important in the Scottish economy and independence would call that into question. Salmond tried to argue last time that Scotland might keep the British army, monarch and currency but Westminster disagreed. That doesn't sound like independence.

Sturgeon quits conference for inviting Steve Bannon, reason said to be Bannon's manspreading and mansplaining, key red lines of Sturgeon

'I regret BBC has put me in this position' - Scottish leader boycotts event over Steve Bannon
She's just leaving the stage to Bannon. These kind of infantile sulking exercises merely expose the indefensibility of Socialism, Globalism and Left-Liberalism. Not least when it comes from a party that combines Globalism with Separatism! :roflmao:
