Pearse Doherty looks certain to be a newly minted TD.
Will he take a 10% pay cut?
Will Enda and Eamon and the remainder of our 166 TD's take a 10% pay cut?

I am not a SF supporter but I know there TD’s only pay themselves the average industrial wage so Doherty’s salary will be probably €36k.

That's an interesting question, never thought of it like that.

Will the new taoiseach and cabinet when appointed similarily take a cut? I'd assume any advisors they hire would be subject to such a cut.

Whats the bet that they are exempt as they were in public employment before the budget.. now as for new TDs well they would be fair game.

A bit off topic, but I asked on another thread were the retiring politicians also taking a cut in PS pensions announced in the 4 yr plan? You know, those FFrs who are deserting the ship before the cuts and tax increases. LOL
