Starts on Wednesday. I think most of the games are on Eir Sport, but RTE have all of Ireland's games - starting with the game V the Wallaby gals, kicking off at 19.00.

Unfortunately our chunky skipper, Garda Niamh Biggs is out, so the impressive Dr. Claire Molloy will captain the team. She is some girl - look her up!

RTE inflicted about four hours of camogie, from some empty stadium on us yesterday.

Great win for the Dubs! Their first camogie All-Ireland semi-final for 27 years!

As for RTE's coverage; that's all about the need to show that they are taking wimmins' sport seriously by televising it. The viewing audience figures are entirely irrelevant.

there is no "need" for RTE "need to show that they are taking wimmins' sport seriously".
"wimmins' sport" be it camogie, Football, Rugby ..... is Division 4 standard hurling, Football, Rugby ......,
& that's why attendances are so small.

I remember the ever so PC Vinnie Browne trying to talk up women's football & complaining about the low attendances,
& the Liberal that he was, he proposed that the women's finals would be played in Croke Park before the All Irelands, in order to force people to watch them.

perhaps, if the rugby or camogie girls had the bodies & were attired like the girls in this vid, the interest in the sports might increase ?

TICKETS FOR ALL three of Ireland’s Women’s Rugby World Cup games have now been sold out with a crowd of 16,000 expected at the Belfield Bowl to support Tom Tierney’s side.

Ireland begin their Pool C campaign against Australia on Wednesday 9 August at 7pm, with the meeting of defending champions England and Spain and the clash between USA and Italy taking place beforehand.

The format of the Women’s World Cup means tickets are sold per venue, per day, with supporters gaining access to all three matches.

We won by 2 missed conversions to 1! Brilliant game!

Amusing to note that the coloured Aussie lass who scored their (excellently created) first try is a Murphy!

Thought that too.

Irish sub, number 20 I think, made a big difference when she came on.
