Enda Kenny.

The name Enda Kenny will go down in history as one of Irelands greatest leaders.

In 2013 Enda Kenny has with the backing of the Fine Gael government rescued Ireland from disaster and restored it to a fully functioning economy again.

Just a few short months ago people were claiming the government would collapse, the job was to big from them, Enda Kenny should be on TV more and so it goes.

But instead of courting the Television Studios or looking to increase his popularity Mr Kenny along with other cabinet ministers set about restoring Ireland to its greater glory and rolling up his sleeves to get down to some tough negotiations and hard work.

So far Ireland has seen;

8 months of continued falling unemployment,
Increased employment and investment from huge multinationals,
A deal on the promissory notes,
The Successful agreement of Croke Park 2,
continued social peace despite tough budgetary decisions,
continued falling crime figures,
a deal on the interest rate of the Fianna Fail debt burden,
cuts to the waiting times of those who are applying for Irish citizenship,
Successful implementation of the Croke Park agreement and millions of savings to the public purse,
Improved our nations standing within Europe,
One of the few EU countries expected to have growth in 2013,
The end of Anglo Irish Bank,
The successful sale of Irish Nationwide.

I know there is plenty more that could be added to the list but I just wanted to give everyone a quick taster of all that has been achieved in such a short space of time.

Of course there are those who hate good news stories, and those who want to revel in doom and gloom, they will find fault with anything and demand quicker and faster change, they will suggest we should behave like babies and throw the dummy out of the pram when dealing with Europe, those who would tell us to look at poll results or change isn't quick enough. But reality is proving different, Ireland is in full recovery and things are getting better and better. A light is shining at the end of the tunnel and for those who want it, things are getting better.

Come the next election Fine Gael will most likely be returned with a larger majority and renewed confidence in politics from the electorate, Ireland will be in a great place.

And what for Mr Kenny, the great man who rode above all the attacks and continued his course of returning this country to greatness, how do we say thankyou?

And this is the crust of the thread, how do we say thank you to Mr Kenny, the man who saved Ireland. We must as a people come together and find a way to show our gratitude for the brave work he has done and continues.

Just how do you reward the man who saved a nation?

Shame you don't even know your own facts, when exactly did we sell Irish Nationwide and to whom? Glad you assume the unions will vote for Croke park 2, can you give me the lotto numbers as clearly you can tell the future.

Ah, you can't beat the delusional ravings of a FG shill and troll for a good laugh.

April Fools day is still 32 days away, it's a bit early to be writing spoofs.

I reckon this thread was started by someone trying to deflect attention from the one about our massive consumption tax / high tax economy.

Most people want this government to fail because it would make them feel better.

Until people have money in their pocket they won't be happy. The sad truth of (Irish) politics.

I am convinced our people will fall for another Bertie.

In forty years time Enda Kenny's Taosieachship will be appreciated in a way that it won't be whil he is the Taosieach.

Sad but true.

I started this thread in the Fine Gael forum for like minded Fine Gael supporters to share their thanks to the man who leads our party.

Please stop trolling this thread if you have nothing positive to offer, you may knock Enda but nobody has actually looked at what he has achieved in just two years as Taosieach.

Cant wait for 2016 when the country is fixed and Fine Gael are returned with a bigger majority.

Forgot to add on the OP,

We will be out of the IMF/EU bailout deal handed to us by Fianna Fail very soon too.
