Looks like financial shenanigans at Wrightbus has led to its down fall, a charitable donation directly led to a loss in 2017 (This was apparently a donation to its own church ;) see post 19 in the link below):

Also, employees coming out of the woodwork saying that they had to make donations to the church, voluntarily of course 🤔:

And this is the cherry:

1500 people about to loose their jobs as a result.

That OP makes for incredible reading regarding that company and church.
'Old William Wright's son set up and runs this church.
Around £6m was siphoned from pre tax profits every year to the church, while they were claiming grants from Invest NI and where ever else they could get capital.
They also bought prime land valued at £75M for £4M + £1
The whole lot stinks of mass corruption by religious fruitcakes.

Needs to get a lot more coverage.

This feeds the narrative of the peace process stalling for 10 years while NI's respective Mob bosses remain in charge of the statelet as something to milk without any risk of getting caught.

The "ex" provos tapped Quinn. Fleggers tap a bus manufacturer. Same end.

Will the fleggers tap other businesses when Wrights folds?

Evangelical Protestant megachurches are a hive of money laundering and corruption. They have turned into vast criminal enterprises in the USA and Brazil and made certain "pastors" incredibly rich. I wouldn't be surprised to see that this story reveals an enormous scandal that goes far beyond this particular "church".

"We made God a shareholder in the business - 26% of Wrights is owned by an evangelical trust. He was central in everything the Wrights company does."

Holy Jaysus! o_O

Meanwhile, thanks to @BorisJohnson, London Transport is saddled with a thousand of ageing-but-unsellable Wrightbus products. What makes the Boris Boggler so incredible is the UK still has the world's most successful double-decker bus maker in Alexander Dennis.

I'd suggest any scandal involving presbyterian sects is trivial, compared to the stitch-up involving:
  • Politics Exchange (the d'uh! think-tank behind Cameron/early Johnson etc);
  • Johnson himself, and his manipulation of the London Transport budget (not just the mobile sauna, but the 'Boris bikes', the Greenwich dangle-wire, and the sub to Joanna Lumley's folly of the Garden Bridge);
  • his strange relationship with Thomas Heatherwick (never ask a 'designer' to do the job of a specialist engineer);
and ... not forgetting ...
  • the ever-pliant Tory media.
Christian Wolmar reckoned Johnson's vanity froth cost Londoners at least £600 million.

Quite shocking, whilst a company can distribute it's profits in whatever legal way is chooses, there's an alarming lack of oversight from the likes of InvestNI which pumped public money into the business and the auditor who presumably signed off on the accounts. Another financial scandal right in the heart of DUP territory.

One has to laugh at Southerners who claim that an influx of DUPers to the Dail in a united Ireland would result in more financial probity and less corruption.

Yea, there's a lot of people down here who haven't a clue when it comes to unionists, DUP, OO etc. Ruth Dudley Edwards even wrote a book where she tried to tell us all how misunderstood the OO are.

Just a clarification mate. The sort of 'churchs' you mention here tend not to use the title PROTESTANT (mainly because they're not really). Evangeical on occasion, but mainly they're penticostalist or charismatic in nature. Think women babbling and pastors 'healing'. LOL

Satan's second throw of the dice as far as false Christianity is concerned (think about that one - LOL).

That's interesting. Just wondering, what about the members of the congregation?
It is rather amusing to consider that if many of these self-professed "Christians" actually observed the Christian values of humility, tolerance and charity they wouldn't be as narcissistic and spiteful towards others proclaiming the same core beliefs. :)
