Yes, spamming a post is against the rules, I wasn't aware of this case but I will check it out.
There's a fakenews/clickbait site that's been spamming the EU forum with links to clickbait articles and it has a highly dubious domain name.

If you see it, report it - even if you only suspect it.

Which mods are you referring to?

Would a solution be to change the users name where you have 'well known user' to 'troll'. After having been given warnings. And maybe have a thread on the decision on whether the rest of us think it's a troll. So the result appears fair.
More likely than not, this might just lead to a lot of navel gazing I'm afraid. There's not much point in return to the stage this site was at a few years ago when there were more active threads about the site itself than about political issues, Irish or worldwide.

I'm not going to name names. If for no other reason than that the laws of Defamation are likely to be quoted at me. If you do not have any names in mind then then you disagree with me on the "Trolling Moderators " issue.

And maybe have a thread on the decision on whether the rest of us think it's a troll. Absolutely not!! That would be a recipe for bullying.

It is not a Right wing site as such. It is basically a Nationalist site- and Nationalism of course can be both Right wing and Left wing. So you are going to get both Right wing mods and Left wing mods.
It is a site populated by utter loons!

What do you make of Trump's "Peace Deal" as regards Palestine?
I am not going down your rabbit hole. You are looking for an opportunity to have a go at the "Joooz".
Should you not be on your post as moderator on that sewer forum politicalirish?

I for one find it amusing that you, a moderator on Political Irish, of all places, rocks up here to commend this site on the decrease in Trolling.

I guess that on your home planet, where everyone's a Troll, then nobody is, because some kind of patient normality is assumed before trolling can take effect, and theres no evidence whatever of that on the sewer in which you've chosen to swim.

A right wing site run by commies.

Sounds intriguing.

Must give it a go.

When you say you couldn't make it up, are you entirely sure you haven't done just that?
Far Right and Communists meet by one going right and the other going left.

They are remarkably similar. Thats probably why they struggle to get along.

It's easier to reconcile than perhaps James Connoly and Nigel Farage as you try to do here daily.

You'd be as well off over with the loons.

Think of the 'likes'.

Connolly has two LLs by the way. I do have an understanding of the far left and far right ( and how close they are ). This is why I am neither.

Thomas Clarke is my Greatest Hero. I will have to admit that he was an Extreme Nationalist but I cannot fault Thomas Clarke a hairs breadth for that .

That's not how you spell Hare.

Does your understanding extend to appreciating how ludicrous it is to claim both Connoly and Farage as heroes ?

I will chose my own Freedom Fighter Heroes. If you think Thomas Clarke or James Connolly would sell Ireland to the Eu like the present Irish Political Establishment then you have taken leave of any senses you may have had.

Yes I'm referring to Political Irish. Ratio, who is Golah was a mod on there, not sure if it still is.

Irish politics online is a bunch of posters on here who left because they were sick of the moderation on here. Mostly decent posters some of whom still post here. Moderation is fierce. But I dislike it becasue it's a very select bunch of a few people. Even though I agree with most of their views.
IP Online is basically a golf club. There's almost no diversity of viewpoint and that's how they like it. I guess it's a kind of mirror image of politics dot irish or whatever its called. I went there (the golf club) after the collapse of this site but got sick of the monotony quite shortly. Overzealous modding and groupthink. A circle-jerk of the bien pensant. If there's one thing consistent about this site it is long time users stating how good it used to be and how bad it is now. Still, I think its the best of them. If this site has value it is in that it retains through its regular posters a diversity of thought absent elsewhere.

But they were fighting against the UK - the very people you want to sell us out to.

Nor did Clarke or Connolly spurn "gallant allies in Europe" when we needed them, like we do now. Tom Clarke did time in jail - put there by the British, who humiliated and shot him in 1916.

You cannot be an Irish and and English Nationalist at the same time - you picked a side, and it was not ours.

So Ireland cannot be a Sovereign Independent Nation State !

I'm not in a position to say whether Connolly would take the extreme exclusionary position that you do.

We cant ask him, but he was, of course a socialist, and with that comes some elements of internationalism.

Nigel Farage is a former merchant banker.

Are you beginning to see the scale of your problem at all?
